Sources in Genealogy & Local History for Sandhurst in Kent and nearby villages

This site grew out of research on Bodiam Mill in Sussex, which was more directly

associated throughout its history with the neighbouring village of Sandhurst in Kent.

Sandhurst is the main subject, but there is some material from nearby villages, including

Bodiam, Benenden, Newenden, Northiam, Rolvenden, Hawkhurst and Goudhurst.

In addition to transcripts of items which have been filmed and are widely accessible via

libraries and record offices, the site contains quantities of material not easily accessible

 either because it is held at a particular record office or library and has not been filmed,
